Is alpaca wool warm enough for cold winters?

Yes. Alpaca fiber is naturally thermal and actually regulates temperature — it keeps you warm in the cold and comfortable in milder weather. It is warmer than sheep wool while staying lightweight, making it ideal for cold winters in the USA, Canada and Europe.

How long does an alpaca garment last?

With proper care, an alpaca garment can last a lifetime. Alpaca fiber is highly durable, does not lose shape and does not pill (no little balls), making it a long-lasting investment compared to fast fashion.

What happens if my alpaca garment gets wet?

Alpaca fiber naturally adapts to weather conditions. If it gets wet from rain or snow it will not shrink, will not get damaged and will not develop odor. Simply let it air dry flat.

Is your alpaca wool soft or does it itch?

Our sweaters and ponchos are soft and do not itch thanks to the way they are knitted. Some pieces with a higher sheep wool content may feel slightly textured on very sensitive skin — wearing a light layer underneath solves this completely. Our 100% baby alpaca pieces are exceptionally soft.

Is your alpaca eco-friendly and hypoallergenic?

Yes. We use 100% natural dyes and alpaca fiber is naturally hypoallergenic. Alpaca is one of the most sustainable natural fibers, produced with low water usage and no harmful chemicals.
